University of Detroit Jesuit players and coaches pose with their MHSAA Region 13 boys tennis championship trophy on Wednesday.

      Division 2 No. 3-ranked University of Detroit Jesuit won the Michigan High School Athletic Association Region 13 boys tennis championship on Wednesday, Oct. 6, at Grosse Pointe North.

   Jesuit won the title with 28 points. No. 9-ranked Grosse Pointe South was second with 27 points.

 

  The Cubs won three doubles flights with the teams of Luke Padilla Alexander Kuplicki (No. 2), George Kuhnlien and Frank Salzeider (No. 3), and Sam Owens and Stephen Cibulas (No. 4) winning championships.

   Will Seymour (No. 3) and Jonathan Bouchillon (No. 4) won singles championships for Jesuit.

   The MHSAA Division 2 championship is scheduled for Friday-Saturday, Oct. 15-16, in the Holland area.
